The Neo-Tribal Metalsmiths are an educational group, dedicated to the free exchange of information, most notably bladesmithing and related crafts. We are a diverse group of people, united through a mutual enthusiasm for the Neo-Tribal approach to metalsmithing, we combine ancient and modern tools, materials, and techniques. The emphasis is on high-quality and original hand craftsmanship, innovation, and the efficient use of resources. We freely share information, form groups - Tribes - and encourage contact and learning with like-minded enthusiasts. On these pages you’ll find information that touches every aspect of our craft(s) from raw materials to finished products, along with a wealth of related information on the other crafts that aid the metal smith. You will find examples of work from the masters that reflect decades of dedication to the craft, as well as from the most junior enthusiasts, who are just beginning their journey along The Way. There is no formal leadership among the Neo-Tribal Metalsmiths.
